Ashlen ballet and water day

Ashlen loves monday's, it's ballet lessons.  Her BFF, Reese, who lives next door also goes to ballet on mondays.  We usually always go to lunch after wards and decided that today would be a great day to check out the new fountains by the Chop Chop restaurant.

Needless to say, they were soaked before we got out of there.  Ashlen cried the whole way home because she didn't want to leave.

Ashlen's World

Just wanted you all to see what Ashlen does to my house everyday!!!!!  This is just a small area of her mess, it goes all throughout the house.  I don't even think she plays with the toys, she just likes to dump stuff out.  A few weeks ago she had been left unattended for a while and had unloaded everything out of the fridge and laid the contents in nice even rows on the kitchen floor.  She also does this with books from the book shelf.  Brent calls her the "rainman", Dustin Hoffmans character from that film in the 80's.  She is a funny kid.  Today we were at someone's house in the ward and there were a bunch of ladies there and Ashlen was playing with something and she spilled it and she said, "oh crap".  Nice language for a almost 3 yr. old.  I totally blame my boys.

I love watching Lauren play volleyball.  It reminds me of when I use to play except she is way better than I ever was.  Her club team has really struggled this year, her coach is not a very nice person and so they don't get a lot of positive coaching on the court.  Hopefully we will have a new coach next year.  Even though it has been a rough year, Lauren has really improved and she is excited to try out for the high school team in the fall.  

upside down week

Last week was a complete nightmare!!!!  5 out of the 6 of us got a really bad stomach bug.  It started with Lauren, then Austen, Brent, me, then Peyten.  Ashlen didn't seem to be affected by it.  Strange, especially since she followed everyone around saying, "yucky throw up."  I washed a ton of towels, shampooed the carpet twice, once at 5 am, and washed the bathrooms more times than I can count.  Grateful for our health this week.  Lauren and Austen both said they lost weight, not me...no such luck!!!
